No one knew exactly what a Staged Reading was. I was the only one most familiar with it and I didn't have any experience of it, whatsoever. I was winging it. But everyone was game.
At the very start, I did explain to the actors that we would be editing the script as we rehearsed. I and they did not expect the amount of editing that was going to be done - it was massive.
The video snippet was taken just minutes before the performance was to commence. In between confusion and rushed dinner bites into complimentary pizza, the Staged Reading of iMPERFECT Messiah deserved its applause---Beth Mondragon Williams
